Yea hospital food is not that great. Maybe the wife can sneak you in a snack. She did earlier tonight, bananas and homemade stuffed grape leaves.

Watch out for those blood clots! Patty has had 2 verified pass through her heart and lungs. She has 3 veins in one leg that will never open up again. One clot is 24 inches long, one 8 and the other somewhere around 12-14 inches. I'm definitely watching out it's just that there's nothing to do but lay here. They checked both legs since I had one hip replaced last week and one six months ago but found nothing, clot is in right lung. Is Patty on blood thinners for life now?

Yes has been more or less since 1994. Warfarin 3 and 4 mg everyday of her life. the "Specialists" told her what to do to save her leg. Working she could not do what they told her to do and it was like clock work, every 6 months she was in the hospital for a section breaking off or a new one starting. Heparin drip for a week along with the warfarin.
She took their second alternative, she had to quit. Her leg now (still) swells with her ankle sometimes pooching out past the top of her shoes but she can get down off of it now like they told her she HAD to do. AND thank GOD she has only been back in the hospital for the clots once since 2001.
