Growing season is winding down here, as far as gardens go. So we can stand a dry spell for a little while. Apples come next in our neck of the woods, and they seem to be doing ok. Trees down the hill are hanging full.

Depends on exactly were you are here just now. Some places doing fine on the water aspect, others are as dry as as west Texas dirt.

ROCKET SCIENTISTS! I get a call from a guy that says his car was involved in an accident. Guy wants to report it stolen. The accident was in a different county, but he lives in our county. Seems his wallet and keys were in the UNLOCKED vehicle (but I always do that, we live out in the county)and much to his surprise someone took the car on a joy ride and trashed it! Funny thing is, the insurance might not pay for it because the keys were left inside the unlocked vehicle. Some people. I've got a 21 year old (well 22 when the 2012 models come out) and I ALWAYS lock it and you can bet our '08 pickup is always locked!
