I guess my question is why does it need a pause to not go to the strobe? Also the four other settings can only be accessed in succesion. Low medium high then SOS. If I turn it on low then off then back on it goes to medium. Just seems kinda like a confusing set up. It's why I like surefires

Gotcha thanks. Yah I am still pondering checking out the G2x tactical. Two modes seems more simplistic and I dont need all the SOS and stuff.

Once again this just proves my theory th the Yard has the largest brain trust on the internet! We can talk about ANYTHING! I'm glad you could KN, cause I had NO idea. My little edg (maratech) 3a has low med and high. Now my ITP 1aa has three modes plus strobe. To me, those 4 are enough for anything.

I hope you like it Steeley, I've never had a more comfortable pack than the one I got. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I plan on just slinging some basic gear in it. Probably most of what Gary was mentioning in his. Take it with me when I leave the house. I am thinking the 311 from the Yard might be nice to throw in. But if the price is right on the Swamp 311 I may go that way.

I got hooked of the great philosophy of KISS a while ago <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
My first light was a SF L2 that I actually still carry today, it was followed by 6 other SF lights 2 fenix and 1 orb (I joined CPF before any knife forums). The fenix lights are okay and work for mundane tasks but I would never recommend one to mil/Leo for too many reasons to list. They are good lights just not that good.
I learned early on I needed one of two modes, dim or really friggin bright. I had my L2 modded to a high mode of 400lm and a low of 20lm, 7 years of carry and going strong.
