My dad made him an anvil for his "garage". took a 10 inch I beam about 15 inches long, welded sides and an end on it then the other end and made himself a horn out of real thick 3 inch pump pipe he gradually cut down into a pointed horn. He then filled it with wet sand through the hardie hole and let it set for about a month then welded a square pipe with a bottom on it to that and he had an anvil with the capability of accepting different "attachments". Now it wouldn't work for a blacksmith but for just pounding on stuff, works really well.

I would be more worried about getting a 200 pound anvil OUT of the trunk!
