Just depends on the time of the year around here, I live in what they call the Ohio valley and where I am is surrounded by hills and valleys so that sometimes the weather 20 miles away is horrible while I get just a little rain or snow. Today we had just heavy rain off and on but no high wind, on other occassions there will be high wind warnings/flood warnings and tornado watches. It is weird here, I can remember being on the golf course and calling my future wife and asking what time see was going to get to the course and see would say it's raining here which was about a half hour drive away. Winter time is the same thing here snow all around us and just a dusting where I am, kind of sucks since I work in a school and I like when we cancel classes(no kids in the building)

My wife will say I'm paranoid because I always cc plus always have a blade or two but I just know the type of society we live in and it can be scary as hell.

YUP, and like I said it is gradually moving this way. We have more of it happening all the time. But no "Flash idiots", yet.

At the rate cities and populations are growing give it a few years, but it will move towards you. Urban Planning terms we call it Urban Sprawl, and it is continuous with people trying to get a better living close to the city, but without the slums one finds within the city, but it is an ongoing planning issue difficult to resolve due to social interactions, racial issues, political to name a few.

so, i screwed around and missed the gun show this weekend! stayed up too late and overslept. well not totally... I actually still had a few hours that I could've gotten out but I sat down at the computer and when I looked up it was 3:50. the show was ending at 5:00. so I said I would just go today. well I pretty much did the same thing again today! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />

Not much Randy debating whether or not to try and make it down to the Indy knife show where Busse and the like will be. Or save that money back for Knob Creek.

Nothing really spectacular. Mostly farmland with woodlands to break things up some. Not if we go about 10-12 miles north of here we are "In the hills" what about the only thing you can grow is pastureland and rocks! Now that's where all the wildlife is, turkey, Whitetail deer and of course rabbits and squirrels are everywhere. We don't really have any "predator" animals around here except for Coyotes. Some people have seen (RARELY) black bear and cougars. But it is VERY rare.

Now don't get me wrong, there are thousands and thousands of acres of woodlands around but here in "The flatlands" it's mostly farming and cattle.

I would love to get to the states and meet people at a local show, especially Blade, and then a smaller, more relaxed type of get together, but funds wont allow that for some time.
