I am more of a collector than a user, so it appeals to me to grab at least one of every release. I wanted a 511 but after looking at my blades, I'm pretty well covered in the 5 inch range. I figured I'd pass this time, even if I may regret it later.

Last release I passed on was the Muk, and I soooooo regret that one.

Hey RTH does anyone know if the handles will be bigger on the 711 and 911. THe handle on the 511 is just a little to small for my hands?

I can't say for sure but they would have to be just because of the blade length, if you look at the thread with the 911 pictures you'll see the handle is bigger.

Thats what i thought but wanted to ask first. Thanks Cazio

Not to bad, healing slowly to slow for me but not much I can do but be patient. How about you? Been a little slow on the board lately.

911 looks to have the same handle as the Dogfather and Son of Dogfather. Very comfy. I'm thinking the 711 looked like a Regulator handle, which again was a very comfortable handle.

I passed the point of getting every new knife of any brand a long time ago. Even after selling off a bunch of knives, I still buy occasional ones that strike my fancy. Since childhood, I have wanted a Puma White Hunter. Even though I hardly hunt at all any more, but I finally got one. It's a thing of beauty. I went nuts with the Busse Bushwackers. I convexed my first one, then bought a pretty green one. I had waited for a thinner, lighter chopper of the type I like. I even bought a BWM LE. I still have it, along with the one I convexed. I like to review choppers, but I just don't need to buy every new one that comes along. I have a bunch of non-Busse blades that I'll probably sell soon. But choppers are my thing.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

If you look at the picture again it the 911 thread you will see that you might have confused the 611&711, the 611 has the regulator handle and the 711&911 have the larger DG sized handle.

Anyone have any thoughts on the 9mm 1911? I have been thinking about getting one of them plus a .22 version. I have several 1911s in 45acp but the price of ammo has me thinking about the other two models, of course I'll be waiting until I'm back to work unless I find a sweet trade on the other boards.

I didn't go back and look, was working from memory. That's a problem these days <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

If it's the same handle as the DF and SOD, it's very comfy

Probably be a sweet shooting gun. I'm fond of the 1911 platform, and I love the 9mm. So I can't see much wrong with that gun myself.

That's what I was thinking and that I couldn't go wrong. Thinking about the taurus, the price is right and who leaves their 1911 stock anyway.

I've played with a Rock Island .45, and I was very impressed at the gun for what it cost. I'm thinking I may have to pick one up soon, but these knives keep calling for my money LOL

I know what you mean, these blades are haunting me. I screwed up a few months ago when I was looking at .22 rifles I bought a sig 522 and a day later picked up a gsg 522, not thinking I should have ordered a 9mm 1911 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" />
