I haven't been back out yet. I have been working. I might manage a day this week though.

Do you just go during bow season or do you go other seasons as well?

You see the two deer SF45 got with a recurve?

I only bow hunt. Yep I saw the post by SF. I am hoping for a nice bull Elk.

I don't hunt myself but deer season is huge here, I'm in WV but if you turn right or left from my house you are in OH and PA in 5 minutes.

I enjoy the hunt and a couple hundred pounds of Elk meat is pretty nice. The last Cow elk netted me either 240 or 260 lbs in the freezer. Pretty tasty to boot.

Wow! Have a friend that went on a "Canned" Elk hunt a few years ago, just don't seem right. Now for exotics I can see it, but not for something that is native to this country.

No need for a canned hunt. I hunt public lands. Plenty of Elk around if you are willing to put in the effort.

Is that a hunt in an enclosed area? Not familar with the term, not being a hunter.

More or less you hunt in an area, fenced or not fenced where they GUARANTEE you an animal. Sometimes they are in a VERY large, several hundred acres fenced area and sometimes just kind of open range but they feed the animals all the time so they know where the animals will be.
