I have a question regarding the Cordura "Sheath for 10" knives". I purchased the sheath before the knife(bought the sheath last week). I just got the knife today. When I put the brand new dogfather knife in to the sheath, the knife cut through the bottom of the sheath. About 2 inches of the knife is exposed through the bottom of the sheath. I did not force the knife into the sheath. I just slid the knife in, not forcefully (i literally took the knife out of the cardboard sheath and placed it into the cordura sheath).

Also, even if i secure the knife using the top snap/buckle a small portion of the knife pokes through the bottom of the sheath. I did not think this should happen, especially since the knife is advertised for the dogfather.

I did not even know that the knife had cut through the sheath. The dogfather went through the bottom of the sheath like butter. I guess this is a testament to how sharp the knives are from the factory, its unfortunate that I had to waste 20 on a sheath that does not seem to actually fit the knife.

Has anyone else had this problem? or can you send me a picture of what your dogfather looks like in the scrapyard 10 in cordura sheath.

Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

Here is the knife going through the sheath:

Sounds to me like you somehow ended up with the wrong sheath. Shoot Renee an email.

Something isn't right. My Dog Father LE and my Busse Bushwackers both will go in the SY 10" sheath with no problem and no poking through the bottom.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Definately the wrong sheath. When properly secured, both straps should go around the handle. Ditto what Jroden5446 says.

I think the guys got it figured out for you. Did that with a B-11 a while back.

Yup, like they said, Regulator sheath. Hey, stuff happens sometimes. Oh By the way, they DO also sell a kydex sheath for the DF, but I like the pouch on the Cordura one.
