Dunno, I was set to put new slabs on mine at first, after a bit of usage, the skizzy with the current wrap handle blows the waki out of the water as far as feel and balance

Wouldn't you be better off buying a Waki, sb? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" /> It's already got some nice handle scales, it comes with a full factory warranty, and it's arguably constructed of a better alloy (SR101). good point but I already have one and I like to be different. I agree about the steel though, I am curious to see how the Scrapazashi performs under heavy use

I know there are a lot of folks that do rewrapping/refinishing for katanas. I suspect the scrapizashi would look really nice with a traditional makeover. Sort of like what Hanwei did with their "Raptor" Tanto/Waki/Katana line.
Oh no, I think I just figured out a reason to buy a second one.
