As a side, I'm an "upper management type" (Department Manager - answer only to the Owner/CEO) and would show HUGE favoritism to any employee that EDC'd a quality fixed blade or CCW'd a quality handgun.
 Unfortunately the only thing I see on my people's belts are IPODs and Cellphones <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> .

Honestly, if it wouldn't cause me problems, I'd wear my Skinny ASH1 or Scrapper 5 LE on my belt everywhere I went. It's perfectly legal except in government buildings and public gatherings. But around here, folders are more socially acceptable, and some folks even fear those.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

HD - that's sad but true.
My EDC medium fixed blade is always concealed under an untucked shirt for the same reason. Its totally legal (concealed and open), but for the average person it makes me a terrorist.

The same applies to Indiana Handgun Licenses. I have a lifetime license, and can carry open or concealed but choose to keep my kit hidden. Don't want to scare the soccer moms at Wal-Mart.

Its pathetic really. Those same people what television shows with all sorts of horrendous violence, but then freak out when a normal / productive citizen is armed / equipped.

If I e.d.c'd a fixed blade, I'd be typing this from prison... Over here it's only SAKs or you get nicked. Given the chance I'd e.d.c an S6, balanced out by a 10mm Glock in a shoulder rig. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

I EDC more than one fixed blade... (what can I say I'm a Knife Nut... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />)
I would "NEVER" EDC any folder over a fixed blade! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> I do EDC folders too, and they both have their place, but any folder with moving parts has it's weaknesses, compared a well made fixed blade. That's just an indisputable Fact, IMHO! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Well said my dear friend. I too carry more than one fixed blade daily. Also I carry a ZT-0301 and a "Backbone" by Randy Douchette, then I pick a couple of pocket knives for my front pockets. Sometimes I have more knives in my way to get to a different knife! All real Dogs,Rats, and most of all Hogs would own and EDC a Busse foder for way too many reasons. Least of all because they finally made one!!! They would have to do a run of several thousands of folders to put one in the hands of every one who wants, needs,or just have to have one...right? Bring it! As they say. Peace.
 Some people just never learn.

There should be more managers like you, Arch. I'd have a lot more respect for my company (a nationally known engineering firm, btw). Jon | | |

If I e.d.c'd a fixed blade, I'd be typing this from prison... Over here it's only SAKs or you get nicked. When I stopped in London on my 2006 European tour, I went to go on the London Eye and the security guards tried to take my Benchmade 940. I was furious. I refused to get on the thing and demanded my money back, but they told me if I didn't give them the knife and kept causing trouble they'd call the cops and they would arrest me. I noticed that they had a whole box full of confiscated SAKs. What exactly is the rule over there? A [censored] shame and I just couldn't believe it. What is the world coming to?
