She would be waiting for me when I got home & I'd give her a little food,then a little lovin. She liked to lay on her side & beg for some lovin & just purrr up a storm as I stroked her back. Who could resist. ![[Linked Image from i760.photobucket.com]](http://i760.photobucket.com/albums/xx242/myketheknife/R%20I%20P%20%20Roddy%20Cat/011-7.jpg) She went blind a couple of weeks ago from her kidneys starting to fail & we hoped the meds. would help,but she stopped eating & drinking & we could tell she was suffering so Cris did what was right for Roddy.We took her to the vet this morning & were there for her as the doc first gave her a shot to relax her & left us alone with her for 10-15 minutes & then came back & gave her the one that ended her suffering.She went peacefully. Man this is hard,but I had to pay tribute to the little one that enriched my life so much. RIP Missy Mouse.

Sorry to hear that Myke. I had to put my cat down a couple months ago, it was so heartbreaking. I still expect him to greet me when I come home sometimes. I miss him terribly.

I'm so sorry, losing a pet is always really hard, but I'm glad you and your friend did what was right for Roddy.

I'd had whoop for 15-years, and she went into convulsions due to renal failure last month. It sure was hard to let go; I probably waited too long for it to get that far along, but I kept hoping it was something else and that she'd bounce back. I still miss her a lot, but getting another dog, Zuki, has helped a lot. Sorry for your loss; each of us grieves in our own way, but for me, getting another affectionate pet has proven to be an effective path to healing.
