Is it a new feature of the board that someone has to reach a certain posting-level to have their name be readable against the background, or what? I'm just curious -- I don't recall it happening until recently.

I have not seen it either. What color background are you using? I am using the gray one.

these forums are usually based on a template. some aspects can be changed by the owner/administrator. I suspect that whoever originally set up this forum made a few changes that went back to default when the forum went down a few back.

whoever has administrator privileges should be able to go in and set the options back to the blood red color. I think I recall Private Klink turning Mag pink for a few days so I guessin he can make the changes.

I've never had that issue.

I'm using the gray format, and I can see other people names with the black text. I'm guessing that Lazi is correct, since it didn't seem to happen until after the server dump. I payed it no mind, figured it was supposed to be that way. You can change your forum color template in your personal profile, if it's a hindrance.

i have been bringing this up in the DC. it's only been new users, though not consistently. either the mods have been trying to keep up with new registrants and turning some red, or the system is looking at something unique to the new members in black.

what really confuses me is that not all of us see it. alpenwoe, you are an example.

i have been using the grey scheme since i was a pound puppy.

I switched to the "scraplight" theme, took a look around, then switched back to "scrapdark". The usernames that were black are now white. If nobody made any server-side changes, then I suppose that must have refreshed the Web site's CSS for my profile.
