Great Stuff, JJ! I lived in Alaska for 5 years. Left there 10 years ago to live in Europe. Watching that clip makes me wonder if I made the right choice.

Oh Sorry, I liked the video and for me it ended way to early. Kinda reminded me of the Stoufer (?) wildlife videos from Wild America I think it was called that came on every once in a while. Now THOSE videos I would like to have, but PRICEY!!!

I took something away from even that little 10 minute clip, you can't rush life in the wilderness. Too bad I can't just pick a place in the Rockies to live eh?

The DVD and the Book are both great! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> The book tells more than the DVD as usual, I'm glad I decided to get the book after seeing the DVD. And there's another DVD on Mr. Proenneke that's great too! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I can't think of the name of it ATM though...

I have watched the whole program. That guy has some serious skills and determination. I was very inpressed with what this guy managed to do and how easy he made it look. I have seen it also and watched in awe!!! I love when he makes the bear proof door lever/lock out of nothing but wood with hardly any tools!
