I hope the recovery goes well, PoP. My physical therapist said to me "The harder you work IN therapy, the easier it will be AFTER", as if you didn't already know that. Sounds like you're optimistic, good luck.

Holy smokes what a outpouring of love! Thanks it made me smile, and feel really good inside.I was in Surgery at 11:47 and woke up a 2p.m. on the dot.
It is now almost 9p.m. and finally on a Morphine drip.
Hasn't started yet but praying the pain stops enough to quit tapping my toes at the beds end.
Some how this time the "Spinal Block' didn't take well. Last time it lasted 18 hours before I could feel my or move my feet.

I'm gonna rest for awhile ,post Wednesday I hope. Now I hurt so much I can't think or type well so I'm off.
Thank you all for the kind words. It sure made my day to see all that love.God bless each and every one of you,and yours!

 Peace.
 Dave

A VERY special thanks to Dan Busse, without whose help the knee replacementcould not have taken place. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Dan and Patti DID indeed supply 2 blanks of CNC cut,Busse heat treated
 SR-77. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
The surgeon supplied the specs for the tibia and femur chunks that hold the knee in place. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

While the "knee socket" is not SR-77 both the supports that will take 20 years of abuse are indeed SR-77. Without Dan making that happen I would have some crap 440C inside. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbdn.gif" alt="" />

The recovery day 2 I have my sense of humor back. And I should.
 Morphine pump,Dilaudid pills,Oxycontin 80Mg. 2x a day. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

They had to come to this just to control my pain. This knee is a constant 7-8 on the 1-10 pain chart. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I CAN however walk up to 50 feet from my room before heading back. No more catheter. Should have called it Skeletor for the pain it cause while in me.

 PoP appreciates each and every post here. I made [censored] sure to read them all twice! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

 Thanks and God bless all.

 Peace.

POP, I think I would have held out for 154! With Dan'S heat treat it would have lasted MORE than 20 years (no rust to contend with don't ya know)! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Hi PoP,
Sorry I'm a little late but I just saw this thread. Heal fast and straight! I'm very happy to see your sense of humor is still there after that kind of surgery. Thoughts and prayers will keep coming from here my friend. Hope your Holidays are great! K
