A deer on the back of a car would not even get a second glance in Montana... They assume you already have one in the trunk? Scranton is pretty far out, but I guess close enough to Philly and NYC to get that second glance.

A deer on the back of a car would not even get a second glance in Montana... Is Ted Kazinski's old cabin still available? I think I'd like Montana. Maybe get a pygmy pony and raise some dental floss. Awefully cold, though. They were just talking about Ted's cabin the other day on the news -- FOX I believe. Even comes with 1 acre of land!

Cool pic lol.
Back in the day it was common to see a deer straped on the hood of a car, but you never see that anymore.

Our either sex days are the whole last week of the season, and I heard a LOT of shots. Didn't get any does myself, but I put a spike and an 8-pointer in the freezer.

In the old days here in MI, before every other vehicle was a pickup or suv, during deer season you would see lots of them strapped to cars. On the hood, on the top, on the back, or sticking out of the trunk.
Ordawg it's a different mindset in whitetail country. For proper herd management the DNR or Fish& Game departments want a certain number of does harvested. Some areas even have "Earn A Buck" where you have to register a doe before you can get a buck tag for that unit. I passed up at least a dozen small bucks this year, one a pretty nice 4x4. I ended up taking a nice doe with a head shot so I didn't spoil any of that delicious venison.
