12 May 2011 Update

On 11 May 2011, a day that will live forever in the Annals of ScrapYard history, a small semi-custom knife manufacturer attained what some would consider impossible. In less than 5 full years of life the dedicated fans, customers, FAMILY of like minded individuals catapulted this small company’s website to an incredible FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND POSTS!

First, in 2009 Daniel Busse, our founder honored us with a patch to celebrate the Three Hundred Thousandth post. And now just a year and a half later we have exceeded the 400,000 we wished to attain and stormed the castle walls to SURPASS the Half a Million barrier.

And speaking of historic, check THIS out.

2010 Started off with Banana Clip making the fist post of the year with #358,264 on page 1381 of DC. And at 7:47pm on the ZDC thread he made the 500,000th poston page 2070. What were the odds of that happening.

This Milestone was only possible by a group of individuals coming together into a family. Dan has always treated his Customers as more, truly as a family of friends and acquaintances. Some he has grown to personally know and others only through the “Forums” that he has so graciously provided.

We might have provided the post count to attain this goal Dan, but it is only because of your never ending effort to bring forth the BEST Performance To Price Ratio in the Knife making realm. Thank you Dan for all you do for us.

AND it was not only a Red letter day for the yard, but for one of our own as well. Yes Post fans, Dan’s Pack has once again given birth. Once again there is a new addition to the Junk Yard Dog Hall of Posts. The Big Dog Porch has once again found itself needing to be expanded.

Ok, the Outdoors and field craft section of the site is now at 21,239 posts up from 21,224 yesterday morning yielding a 15 post increase.

The Knives Forum side has taken quite the jump. Yesterday morning it was at 472,531 posts. This morning it is at 474,766! That gives us a post increase in this side of the site of 2236.

Ok, the ZDC page count was at 1996 yesterday morning and today it is at 2088 for a 92 page increase, 92 PAGES!

OK now for the moment everybody is waiting for, the TOTAL WEBSITE POST COUNT. Yesterday morning the count was at 498,239 posts this morning after the efforts of SO MANY dogs, this post hits and SURPASSES OUR GOAL. This post gives us a TOTAL COUNT of 500,500, That’s FIVE HUNDRED THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED total posts with 2261 of them just within the last 24 hours!

So to all I say WELL DONE and may we only continue to grow, both in our NEW goal, what ever it may be, and in Membership and offerings from our founder. And perhaps even more importantly in our friendship with each other. Proving to ANY who come here, to visit or to stay that people from all walks of life, nations,races and beliefs CAN come together in peace and harmony, proving that friendship transcends ALL barriers, both perceived and man made.

LONG LIVE THE BROTHERHOOD OF THE YARD!

Randy was so caught up in passing 500K that he forgot how many posts we got yesterday. We hit 2261 posts just yesterday.
