Well, it seems that whenever my dad prunes the trees in our yard, my brother and/or I end up having to break down the trimmings and dispose of them. Oh well. I guess that's part of living rent free. I was asked to perform this task the other day, so I thought I'd make the most fun of it and use my DFCG to chop up the small branches. That bad boy actually made quick work of those branches! Even the thicker ones (about an inch thick) only took one chop! Anyway, here are some pictures: ![[Linked Image from i58.photobucket.com]](http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g265/dl351/DSCF8195.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i58.photobucket.com]](http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g265/dl351/DSCF8194.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i58.photobucket.com]](http://i58.photobucket.com/albums/g265/dl351/DSCF8196.jpg) I sure do appreciate the usefulness of one of mankind's most basic and fundamental tool!

I actually live in Livermore, too, so I know how people can be here. It never ceases to amaze me that there are people out there who work with things that are potentially far more dangerous than knives, but they freak out at the site of a knife!

I grew up there, left in 72.I did a google maps search & where there were fields we used to play in there are minimalls & housing. So sad. Anyho, nice work with the DF,I bet it was still hungry after that little work out. The DF is a chopping beast. Kinda overkill for those little branches, but it made your job fun & easier at least.

It has changed quite a bit but still has the small town feel more than any other city here in the bay area I think!!!
And sadly even the fields where I played as a kid are gone also...

Livermore, aren't there a couple of wineries near you?

Got to love using a nice tool to displace some bad wood!

Nice pics. The DF is a heck of a good yard knife! I have used my DFLE on lots of chopping projects in the yard. I finally cleaned it up again. Maybe I'll start using my old beater machetes and goloks more, just to keep "my precious" looking good. ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO/DFLE022.jpg) ![[Linked Image from i173.photobucket.com]](http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w64/rivershaman/SYKCO/DFLE001-1.jpg)
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

Those DFLE's are nice! If you remember, I sold mine a couple months ago for a CG M9. While I like the M9's micarta handles, I really like the DFLE's full height flat grind. Oh well. Gotta weigh the pros and cons of each! My DFLE was a "safe queen," so hopefully it's more likely to be used by whoever owns it now! Nice pics, Horn Dog!

Well at least you're not as insane as I am, DL. I have the M9LE, M9, DFLE, 3 BWMs, NMSFNO, 2 Sarsquatches, 3 goloks, 12 machetes, a bunch of big bowies, BK-9, 2 RD9s, RTAK, RTAK II, Junglas, custom parang, ......etc,etc. Who the heck needs all those choppers?
