Good luck on your move tagati.

Thank you!

I am stocking up on hardware as quickly as I can (and budgets will allow).

Ended up with a nice Remington LE 1187 Semi Auto today. Haven't had a chance to take it to the range yet but looking forward to sending some big chunks of lead downrange.

The Saiga 12 is sinister. If I only had the moola...

Has anyone tried this bad boy?

My first AK was a Romanian pistol type model. It looks cool but difficult to shoot accurately without the stock. I sold it pretty quickly and ended up with a milled MAK 90.

I have one. I found it to be much more practical than I thought it would be. I mean it is a beast and all, but a heck of a great Jeep gun. I often take this guy out when we do out in to the desert Jeepin. If we go in to a place to get some ffod, I can carry it in my backpack so I don't have to leave it in the Jeep with the top down. More manageable than a full length rifle.

Oh the Saiga 12 is indeed siniter. They are a bunch of fun.

I've seen, handled, and fired several Draco pistols. A friend of a friend has one that was voluntarily recalled. As it turns out, some of these pistols have problems with doubling. There was a certain series of serial numbers that had a very controlled doubling issue. If you pulled the trigger slowly enough, it would fire a three round burst, every time. I'm not sure what he's done with it, last I heard he was thinking of converting it to an SBR. I was thinking of doing the same thing, but I may go with an AMD-65 instead, being easier to convert.

The last one I fired had major sporadic doubling issues, it was completely unpredictable. It was returned to the dealer and reported to the police. It has something to do with the original auto sears and the parts used from the romanian AK parts kits they put them together with.

They're not bad if you get one that was put together right, but Century International Arms doesn't have a reputation for putting thier AKs together very well. Canted sights, misaligned or missing gas ports, and missing magazine support plates in the recievers are some of the problems I've seen personally in thier WASRs.

I suppose the doubling issue really is only a problem if you view it that way, however <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />. It is still legally a semi-auto.
