In light of the fact that the HOGS decided to troll our poll and screw up our results, I've decided to return the favor and put out the Big SR-77 Scrap Yard Bowie for the next go around as it seems to be the one that the REAL Dogs want the most! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Hogs, they're what's for dinner! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Sounds good to me. I originally opted for the infi, but after a little thought the bowie sounds better..

Oh well... I was looking forward to a nice EDC blade to carry on a daily basis. Just how many 10+" blades do you guys actually carry and use daily? Don't get me wrong, they are cool to look at and sure you can cut down small trees with them, but how many of the biggun's do you need? At least make it 5/16 thick to seperate it a bit fom the pack. Is this possible with the res-c handle?

I know.. I know... its not a question of need, its a question of want... I just wanted an EDC and that mudder sounded perfect. Any idea on how long before the mudder enters production?

I hope the INFI EDC is next then! I could really use a more rust resistant EDC.

I agree. I have plenty of big choppers already, and an EDC would get a lot more use and provide greater utility to me. I always wanted to try out some INFI, but it's been out of my price range.

I also think 5/16th would be cool. All my Rats are 1/4", and the extra weight for a chopper would probably help with penetration when chopping. And it would just be really cool to have a piece of Sr77 that thick.

Same, here. Oh, well...

I guess I've learned how much our votes count for.

Outstanding Dan - You are THE MAN!!!!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> On behalf of all the Dogs who were hoping and praying for the BOWIE - THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! Yeehaw!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Thank you Dan for those great big old BOWIES,
Soon they will be our favorite steel toys;
And though there are those who will groan, gasp and sputter,
The next release can be the EDC Mudder.
Now Jerry's kids can grunt off to the trough,
Besides, their smell was making us cough. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I would imagine it's possible, but even if it ended up being the same .275" stock thickness as the Scrapper 6, it will be noticeably heavier than a similar 1/4" blade. Well, that is assuming, of course, that both are ground the same. A 3/4-height saber ground 1/4" blade would probably be as heavy or even slightly heavier, but the full flat .275" will likely cut better...

Okay, when I start talking in circles it's time to stop. It'll be neat regardless. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Yeah, I'm sure it will be a fine Bowie, I'm just chewing on sour grapes right now. I had the funds set aside for the mudder and was planning sheath designs on it already. I know the SMOG and GW is coming out soon but the blade length is not long enough for my needs. I guess the Nimravus has gotten a contract extension by default. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />
