I bought a glock 19 for my my wife years ago but she ended up not liking it. Since then I have put many tens of thousands of rounds through it at matches, classes and practicing, mostly wolf. Amazing pistol.

I have a fairly high round count beretta 92 but it's just plain inferior to the glock. Trigger return spring broke, the stock beretta part is junk. The wolff spring has held up so far. Fun pistol to shoot and so heavy it's like a .22

I got a s and w 36 from a guy who owed me money that I carry as a back up. Haven't practiced with it enough.

We bought a springfield 1911 because my wife wanted one. She took it to blackwater and it worked fine. I just have seen so many 1911s fail in classes and competition, cheap, big name, stock, modified by a big name gunplumber, doesn't seem to matter. Very accurate and easy to shoot.

Also have a browning buckmark, great plinker.

I have a few other pistols. I had a buddy's colt python for years that he let me borrow, could never talk him into selling.

I'm as giddy as a school girl.
I just scored one of those bad boys about 30 minutes ago.
Of course I would never let the seller know stupid ga ga I'm feelin'
at this moment. Can't wait to tell my better 1/2 when she gets home.

I think you'll like the 460. Did you actually get a V? I've hearsd that they aren't made anymore.

They are blast to shoot. And actually, with good ear protection, they're not as bad as some make it out. The heavy stuff will really get your attention. The 454 loads are fairly stout too, but very manageable. But the 45LC have very little recoil and are a hoot to plink with.

I plan to try and take game with it someday.

Let me know how you like it after you shoot it.

Yes I did get the V.
Can still find new old stock on Gun Broker and others.
Prices range from $1025 to $1600.
I picked up a lightly used one with loaded ammo, brass and RCBS dies for $825 shipped and no sales tax, great deal.

Killer Deal!

I've seen the V's go for twice that. I picked up mine new before they were d/c'd. If I could have only one gun, it'd probably be the V. How are you going to carry it?

I know it's considered old school now but I bought a Ruger redhawk about a year after they came out. wish I still had that thing. Had the long barrel on it and shot really nice. I changed the sights to the gold bead front and the shallow V in the rear. I really liked those sights. I have a problem getting the square lined up centered on regular sights and much prefer the bead/V setup.

I'm leaning towards this but would also like a synthetic rig as well.
