I have 2 questions about food recently that have been bugging the heck outta me. No one else has really been able to give me an answer, so I figured I'd post them here for fun, and see what you guys thought.
Firstly: Why, OH WHY, do the green Candy Fruit Slices taste like mint?
Mint isn't a fruit! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/paperbag.gif" alt="" />
And secondly: How come it takes 10 minutes to serve out 3 scoops of ice cream from a Dryers bucket, but it only takes 10 seconds for my Klondike Bar to fall apart into a creamy, chocolatey chunky mess?

ECF: The answer to your first question is that it is a mind game invented by Psychiatrists to increase their client base. There IS no answer! But people will go crazy trying to figure out the answer thereby landing them in the Psych ward where they can be fed fruit roll ups (geeen mint flavored ones) under the door!
The answer to your second question is also dealing with economics. The folks doing the scooping are paid BY THE HOUR! And the second part of your second question is again about economics. IF it melts quickly enough the company will sell more because only half is eatable before it falls apart, thereby making you eat a second one to be able to have a whole one.
So it all boils down to MONEY and the trickery that SOME folks will go to in order to get it.
Glad I could help.
I'll get the bill out to you in the morning. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

i figure its cause "candy" cant be a "fruit" by definition. and Klondike bars (although yummy) probly arent real ice cream. What ya think?

I think I'm with Mugsy on the Klondike bars not being real ice cream, because I tried once lowering the freezer temperature to max, and it still only took a minute or so for it to come apart.
There's like 50 varieties of klondike bars now, lol.

I agree, haven't had one in a while. They still sell them at my 7-eleven. I saw them just the other day. I think I went with an energy drink instead though.

I just had a Chocolate Caramel Pretzel Klondike Bar... And here I thought the world was vanilla ice cream with a thin chocolate coating
