so I just scored a unused yardhook and a Buy Brown sheath!! also a mud puppy this week. I cant believe how much I love the original Res-c handles over the mudders! It is the best size and feel out of all my knives for sure! I would send in my HRLM if I could to have it put on that for sure. any way I am waiting for my buddy to get are scrapivores in and will post pics of all my Bussekin collection then. its not huge but will have 10 all together. any way what do you hook owners like the most about the hook? or use it for the most? I think I will use it the most scouting and getting tree stands ready and building ground blinds and, duck blinds brushed in. I know there is better choppers but I am always to late when they pop up and was able to score this one.

Nice score CIO! I looooove my Hook, it's a great field knife, although I use my Dereg for batoning and such. It's chopping power is impressive, it'll lop pine limbs with ease with hardly any effort. And the blade catch, though intended as such, makes a much better bottle opener

Nice scores cut it out.I love my hook & MP & like EL C said,
the hook is a fine medium size chopper.
You will not be under knifed for the uses you listed.
Just be careful, they are blood thirsty & will bite as soon as you let your guard down.

Very cool, I hopefully will have a Hook real soon. Just got to get the funds together, go by the package store and get some bottle of beer, open it up and have some fun.

Nice score!

They are popping up all over post kc. I got an all black- reminds me of the AD I wanted for a long time. The edge needs a lot of work, but it's a tough small blade.

Good job Cut!

Both are great knives!

I'm with EL on a field knife. The Regulator is a beast.

HUGE by any standard. Thick..almost a half on an inch!!

I believe Dan will NEVER have to send out a replacement under warranty on the Regulator series. Way to rugged.

No task with a edged tool comes to mind that would cause a catastrophic breakdown of this blade.

For that matter there are no knives ever made by Scrap Yard Knife Company that would ever fail unless it was intentionally broken.

And as Noss has shown...the Scrap Yard line is on the same level as Busse INFI.

Keep buying that Price To Performance ratio knives by SYKC. You will NEVER regret a single knife purchased!

Peace.

Here's a few quick pics of mine, this thread made me pull her out today and touch up the finish and edge a bit, this is possibly my favorite Yard knife, it was the one I wanted when I first found this place

I've always been to busy using mine to actually stop and take pics

I don't abuse it like I do the dereg though, I refuse to baton with my YH, it's just too purty. My camera battery is dead, I have a bunch of pics to post here soon, I'll try and take one of it when I finish charging the camera. Mine has a Tan handle and Sage green blade. Jared really hooked me up when I bought it from him.
