Richard, when you say neoprene do you mean like wet suit material or the rubber mat that you pick up at the Tractor Supply store? I have seen the rubber matting used before but do not recall a neoprene. Looking forward to the pics and video.

the neoprene i get is 1/2" thick and i have 3 or 4 different widths. some pieces i have are about 3-4' long. i just trace out the handle and cut off a piece just a hair oversize and glue it on and sand it to shape. its solid like a rubber 0 ring and oil resistant.

Sounds like he is talking about the horse stall rubber matting the guys on the cutting circuit are using.

nope, nothing like horse stall matting. look at the pictures on my websites and you will see it is not made from ground up rubber but solid material that is extruded.

Guess I am not all that bright or not informed. I always thought neoprene was that soft stuff wetsuits and mouse pads (the really soft ones about a 1/4 inch thick or more). Must be different grades of it.
