I am the team lead of two treatment programs for at risk you in the Midwest. And I have been trying very hard to constantly introduce outdoor education to the children when ever possible, but I have gotten to the point in my material that the activities are getting stale. I am looking for some new ideas to use with the kids. The hard part is the groups run about an hour and the facility is in town. Some of the activities that I have used.

Age of group, and kind of at risk group would help. Where/what area of the midwest is important also.

Kids love food, get a dutch oven and cook up some easy grub. Peach cobbler in a dutch oven is very yummy. how about rock climbing? outdoor first aid...
