Hello fellow dogs.
I was just wondering will my SY Reg bowie fit in a survival sheath? I'm a little bored of black and would like a OD green sheath.
Thanks for any info you can provide.

I guess that depends on the sheath. I have a sheath that came with a throwaway survival knife someone gave me, fits my Dereg perfectly, and I mean PERFECTLY. It probably cost 2 Dollars to make, but it makes a nice low profile sheath when I don't want to hump the Yard sheath.
Spec-ops Brand makes a fairly decent (I hear) sheath that accomodates up to 8" Blades, should work fine, comes in ACU and Coyote Tan.
Comes with a Kydex liner as well, which can easily be reheated and pressed to your blade specifically.

Yeah, np! I only remembered it because I was playing with an old Spec-Ops brand sling for the M16. I tore it apart and used the webbing for other stuff. The newer generations of that same sling are alot better, so the one I've butchered is obsolete.

I have a spec ops sheath, if your reg is the same size as my dereg I can check for you <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

The Regulator and Deregulator actually start out as the same knife, the Deregulator was created (well, modded) in response to some members of the Test Team chewing up the top gaurd of the Res-C when using the TT-Regs for batoning. The TT-Reg and the Reg/Dereg have different grinds. The Original Test Team Regs came with a Full Height Grind, whereas the Reg and Dereg are Saber Grind. Other than the Deregulator having the milled top gaurd, the mil-overrun knives are the same design.
Seth- IIRC, didn't you have a slight size disparity with a couple of your Regs/Deregs? like one blade being slightly shorter than another?
