I love a d guard on my chopper,it gives me a sense of security(or my knuckles at least).
I did this one last year on my B11 with some tether cord from countycomm.
It was my first attempt & wasn't tied evenly, but it worked.
I used the tether cord because it was the only orange I had at the time,(I love orange on my outdoor gear)plus it was easier to thread multiple strands through the talon holes.

Fast forward to last weekend.
In anticipation of camping soon,I tried again on my custom chopper with some cheap paracord I got on ebay,it came out decent enough I think, but the cord isn't true paracord.
It has 5 strands inside, but it wants to flatten out.(Maybe it's just old?)
Makes even knot tying kind of a beiatch.
Then I braided the tether cord from the B11 together to make the lanyard.(Killed my fingers & wrists doing the braiding)

While I was feeling creative,I made a sheath too.

Then I used some black with orange cord from County.Comm on my B11.
This one came out much better.
Good cord makes all the diference.

Sorry about the in hand shot.(you try it with your off hand.)

Welp, the weathers getting warm on the east side & the snow is finally melting.
I think I'll do a recon run this weekend & see what roads are open.
If I get a chance to use the big boys I'll be sure to post pics.
Woof Woof!

Thanks Myke! And you're right, it's tough to shoot an in-hand pic with your other hand.

Nice work, Myke. I've never tried a D-guard. Of all the knives that I have that would really benefit from one, only one has a talon hole and that's my B11. Guess I'll have to give it a try some day.

Ya done good Myke. Nice! I like the blade you broke the point off of too. If ya gonna throw it away cause it's broken, I'll take it off your hands. I MIGHT be able to make something useful out of it.

Man there is some fine work there guys. I really like the D guard on the B-11's--need to give it a try myself this summer.
