Hi all,
I’m too lazy to carry a traditional tripod on my rucksack, so I though to someting light and small, adaptable to any outdoor situation. You need for (sorry for crappy translation):
1 plastic “head” for silicon gun
1 washer
1 nut
1 bolt
The result is a small “support” for your camera. Than you need to mount it on a stick (of course is not hard to find a and prepare a proper stick outdoor)

Alfredo

That is outstanding Alfredo!
What a great idea & so simple.
I carry one of the little tripods with the flexible arms that can be bent around things,
but even they are a bit bulky.
This is just the ticket to save weight & space in a pack.
I can get all the parts at work too.
I am going to make one tomorrow.
You're a genius Alfredo,Thank you.

Ok,I made two.
The top one is from a silicone tube.
Ours are apparently smaller than the ones found in Italy. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
I had to grind down the head of the screw to get it to fit in the tube.
The bottom one is from the cap of a bottle of loctite pipe thread sealer.
I drilled a hole in the end to get the 1/4" screw in.I also had to grind the head of that screw down too.
Both work fine,I only have one camera,so no in use pics. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />
I added the extra nut to protect the threads when driving the stick with mount into the ground.
I'll give 'em a try the next time I go camping.
Thanks again for the idea Alfredo.

Well done mate. I will apply also your idea of a extra nut to protect the threads, thanks!
