I agree that this is exactly the knife I was hoping for also.
I read on another forum that the 3 inch cutting edge was a typo and it should be more like 4 3/4 cutting edge - if I remember right it was posted either by Jerry Busse on a Busse forum maybe on Bladeforums.com or in Swamp Rat knifes forum by Eric - its been a long weekend if you know what I mean.
To me the thickness isn't an issue - .235 is only about 3/64ths thicker than 3/16th or .1875 and most people like 3/16ths for a blade thickness.
The real plus is its a nice thick infi knife in a great size - sort of a Super Pukko or Super Mora.

The blade dimensions remind me a bit of a fallkniven s1. If memory serves me correctly the S1 has a 5" blade, .20" spine and is approximately 1" from edge to spine (maybe a bit taller.) The S1 is marketed as an all around survival/woods knife, and I'm thinking the war dog will be equally suitable for such tasks, granted the war dog sports better steel and potentially a better/more ergonomic handle.

I thought the same thing about the likeness to the Fallkniven S1 when I saw it. I have an F1 and have been thinking of getting an S1, but this will satisfy that nitch for a while (along with my recently acquired RMD).

If you're taking pre-orders, put me in for two! Someone's got to look out for SF45ACP while he's out catching trout. Truly you are my brother from another mother.

This is my first post. I'm new here and have yet to get a bussekin blade. I've been lurking for about a year but just got an account. I was tempted to get the deregulator but wanted to hold out for something different. The war dog looks really good and infi would be awesome to get, but I want to continue waiting for the blade that really sings to me. I was hoping for a chopper. The price doesn't help my situation either (graduated from college two years ago and have a truck-load of student loans). Anyway, thought I would stop "lurking" in the shadows and say hi.

Hello! I'm new here, took the plunge and ordered one of these since it seems to be everything I'd love in a knife. This will be my first Scrap Yard blade, but I fear it won't be my last... Welcome to the Yard Dumpster Dan

You will need to pay at the time of shippment...when the credit cards are charged. I suspect we will ship shortly after Blade Show if everything goes right....does this help?
Dan Could the card charging be a mistake? I have knives going out the door as we speak...I really wanted everyone to have there knife...if possible, before Blade show. I figured the guys who cant be there in person could at least handle their WAR Dog in one hand and toast us with the other I will make sure to lift my class and toast you all Dan
