The tan looks great with the satin finish.
Nice that you thought about other knives when you designed the new handle Dan.

Thanks Dan for the pic and cut-a-way.

I sure am glad I ordered the black and tan. Seems like the right thing to do.

As to Res-C and baton/chopping I find it the best for the tasks I give it to do, where the micarta and G10 resonates the vibrations.

The tan is really nice looking.

The top pick looks like a convex grind with zero edge...looks super sharp.

I would get a second in tan but I have a dumpster mutt le coming or I would buy 2 for sure.

Sumo, I've actually found the Res-C to be better at chopping than batoning (especally through knotty resin-filled pine <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> ). My Chopwieler feels a bit better than the DF when it comes to batoning. Problem is, I'm doing an unfair comparison. I really need an SOD and a Rat Mastiff (or whatever huge blade the Swamp has coming) to do a size-to-size comparison <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

Sooooo....if anyone wanted to throw those blades my way, I'd be happy to run some tests. (Ahem) Purely in the name of science, of course <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
