Hi guys,
tough you could be interested maybe in some traditional folders. Any part of Italy has his owns, of course many of them are not still used today, but some others are still in use, here is just a few
TRE PIANNELE (trad. three plans)

SENESE

At the beginning of XX century, restrictive laws oblige to carry just knives with cutted points
GOBBO ABRUZZESE (trad. crook-backed)

As the name suggest, this knife was used especially in Rome and nearby, defensive/offensive purpose, for duels.

Very nice knives, I only have a few folders and none that have fancy handles and by that I mean polished. It is amazing to see the differences in knives of the different regions, makes me want to research the diiferences here in the states relative to the north, south, east and west.

Very interesting!
I didn't know the difference between a trapper, a canoe, and a peanut until earlier today.
And now this! I think its time I get my first traditional.
(my boy scout knife was a lockback)

That romano looks really cool. Invokes an urge to go bass fishing!!

I love slipjoints. I still have my grandathers slipies and still use them. I like that Anconetano alot.

i carry a slipjoint everyday.. like my dad & grandfather did...mines just a bit nicer <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />...they were not knifenuts
