I have a dilema. Our local gun show is this coming weekend, but I know that there is probably going to be some REALLY COOL stuff coming up soon on the Yard and in the Swamp. I have limited funds and can't afford to splurge on both. Do I wait to see what Busse kin brings out or do I spend at the gun show? Anyone that was at Blade know how soon stuff is going to show on the Busse kin web sites? HELP!

Its very much up in the air when the new stuff will be coming out, but I think its pretty firm what is going to come out, just not when.
Scrap Yard is having 5 new blades come out I believe, the 311, 411, 511, 711 and 911. All look pretty awesome and I know they will be priced somewhere between $80 and $200 if I remember correctly.
Especially the 311 and 911 looks awesome to me, felt really good in hand too. The 311 is really close to the SS4 and Mud Puppy, but made with SR101, and the 911 is thinner than a dogfather and also SR101 I think. I will be getting at least those two for sure.
It will likely be months before we see any of them.
Swamp rat has similar blades coming out between 3 and 9 inches, plus the rucki (shorter waki companion sword) and a tomahawk that looked really awesome.
Busse has the Basics, 4, 6, 8 and 10 coming out.

I usually have the same problem. With every knife I "need", there is usually a gun I "need" also. The funds are low so that makes it easier. The thing about guns is they are usually available on a regular basis. Some of these knives are only available for a short while as in the "War Dog". So you gotta get them while you can. When that is only Dan knows.

I ran into the same problem with the release of the War Dog. I had just bought a AR 15. The solution was simple, I just gave in and bought a black War Dog, Then one day before they sold out the voices convinced me to get a tan one. Maybe I am not the person one should look to for advice on this topic!!

I agree that guns are usually available anytime (not sure you can get much better prices at gun shows than you can online from gunbroker, Buds, summitgunbroker, etc. That said, sometimes a really incredible price presents itself.
Of course, the blades are a limited time thing, although they usually show up on the forums--sometimes for cost or below--the occasional knife show, and/or ganzas.
Are there gaping holes you are trying to fill in your guns or knives? Focus on that first.
The problem here is it looks like we'll be having far too many releases right away. I can see it will be really easy to get carried away.

My recommendation would be to go to the gun show, see what deals they have, and make your decision there. As others have noted, there are likely to be some new releases, but history would indicate we're talking about months between releases. As a matter of fact, I'm still waiting for the Swamp Rat Bandicoot Little Mischief that was announced as a future release more than 3 years ago.

I have pretty much got out of the gun market, and I've have most everything from 1 foot to 1000 yards covered with something or multiple boom sticks.
Now the Knives.... I've liked knives longer than guns. And I pretty much have everything covered there, except for a dedicated (a la Green River or Nessmuk) type skinner and I have blades that will work in that arena ok. So I have something from the delicate needle point tip required blade all the way up to "Da Choppa". I have all the knives I need. BUT not all the knives I want. As an example I got a WarDog and was very happy. But I was contacted by my Proxy at blade (who I didn't even know I had until His bride sent me a PM) that he thought he could score me a Busse Combat WarDog Hack WITH A SHEATH If I wanted it.
After defending his place at the Trough and successfully fending off numerous interlopers and those more than willing to give a quick profit my steadfast Friend declared to all far and wide NO! This blades for a fellow Dog. I will gladly pay the Vet bill that will be required to patch up my Proxy for the wounds he incurred during this fast and furious struggle by my Tenacious, Relentless BULLDOG of a Dog to bring me what I had mentioned might well be THE knife I have been looking for as a constant companion, even over my much coveted Muppy.
So to him I say four paws up for going above and beyond for a fellow Junk Yard Dweller. You Da man even if you DO wear a funny helmet! (congrats by the way).
My dilemma is this. I have all the knives I need, yes even more than I need. but the good Lord willing NOT all that I will have.
I am an addict and I DO NOT want the cure! I'm just glad THIS addiction isn't illegal!

I know how you feel as there is ALWAYS a gun that I want. That being said I have been holding off waiting for that one that is calling to me, I just held off getting some leather for one of my sigs because of the coming release of so many blades. Don't let the coming release stop you from going window shopping.

Window shopping doesn't cost anything and is a GREAT pass time. It's when you break the window that you get in trouble!

Problem for me with window shopping is that it inevitably leads to me doing some real shopping.
