Is the SR101 zone hardened or through?

I just picked one up on the BF exchange. If it is zone hardened I would like to strip it to show the hamon. I have always wanted to do this but I have been hesitant to try it on my Camp Tramp or M6.

If it is through hardened (still an awesome knife either way) I will remove the coating through the physics of regular abuse.

My guess is that it's through hardened, but it's just a guess.

Is it full height ground? If so, perhaps it was made from the Prototype blanks that were differential heat treated.

I'm pretty sure it's through hardened, great blade either way though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Got my hands on a "Bull Dog" on ebay <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" /> ( there are 3 other Bull dogs on ebay for the moment, if somebody wants one...)
When I saw the first pics of Blade 2011 and saw the Pictures of the Bull dog I wanted one, but since I live in Belgium it was wishfull thinking of getting my hands on one of the 50 pieces available at the show...

But Today I was lucky ! I came , I saw and it was mine .... ! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Anyone made some sheath's for the Bull Dog ?

You should have set up an account with Busse combat so they could send it directly to you and asked for a proxy on the forum to pick one up for you at blade <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

That might be a tall order, people seem to be really attached to them, but with the CGs being offered in limited quantities at blade there might be a chance of more of those at upcoming shows like knob creek.
