I had a dream,no wait ,
I once had an LE Vore I wanted to send to Jforbush for an orange coating,
but then Dan anounced the CGs with orange being an optional color so I sold the LE.(Sorry Jeff)
One thing I didn't like about the right handed LE was the top half of the handle end dug into my hand.
I ordered my War Dog & orange CG Vore in left hand configuration hoping that with the
beveled end facing my hand it wouldn't be as uncomfortable as the right hand config.
Well,it's not as bad,but still digs in.
But with the bevel facing my hand & the thickness of the coating it cuts down on the discomfort a lot!
The uncoated LE has a pretty sharp edge on the prybar end & was really uncomfortable, even for my working hands.
Dan did say it was sharp enough to strike a ferro rod & it surelly is.
Anyho,I still wanted an LE,so when I saw that STJones was selling his I snagged it & decided to grind down the offending metal.
As you can see I only took off a little, leaving plenty for prying.
It feels great now & I wouldn't hesitate to use it in the woods,in the city or on a plane, train or automobile.Oh wait, strike the plane use.

And here's the War Dog with the sheath I made & the ORANGE vore with the great Mashed Cat sheath.
Notice the bull dog bead on the WD lanyard, pretty cool, thank you Steely for the info on the bead.
And thank you Steve for the great deal on the LE.
And thanks MB for the idea on the fold from the bottom kydex/concealex.
I only misaligned a couple of the holes, not bad for my third sheath made if I don't say so myself.

Myke, I had thought about doing the same thing with my Cupidvore. But by adjusting my grip just a tiny bit I don't get the "prybar bite" I did at first.

Nice mod looks good. I too sometimes have issues with the prybar biting at times. Kydex looks good too!

Yep,& you don't lose the integrity of the coating on the part that contacts your hand either.
One reason I didn't mind doing it to the LE is it's uncoated anyway so it looks natural.

yeah I had thought of that as well and still almost reshaped it. But then I thought Aw I'll just wait until I get more of the coating off of it (I've used it as a mini prybar several times) and then I might think about it. I still have one in reserve that has only been removed from the cardboard sleeve for inspection by me and then taped back up inside the sleeve and stuffed in a drawer.

Nice work Myke!!
When you told me that you were going to grind it I thought that you were going to round it right off!!!
I like what you did though.
I'm very happy that you get to have an LE Vore!!
It is my absolute favorite small blade!!!

I was starting to get little rust spots on the handle of mine so I blued it. It came out great.

Nice work on the War Dog sheath as well brother!!! Looks great!!!

Awesome! I like the kydex and I really like the bead. Can you tell me where I can find some beads like that? I'm looking for something like that in a Amstaff or Pit Bull. Thanks for sharing.
