Looks like that WD is getting some use.

I wonder how a convexed s5 would do. I guess this would technically not be a s5.

I'm a happy camper again! Yup, went ahead and jumped off the fence. I put a conventional V grind on my WarDog and I LIKE IT! It's a LOT sharper now and I can easily maintain it anywhere.
I have never seen a knife sharpen this easily. I just hope that it lives up to the hype and holds the edge for a while. Time and play will tell.

I did a v-grind on my War Dog and last time I used it I noticed that I it's not that sharp anymore. All I had to do was a little stropping on the back of a notepad and it was sharp again! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I can't believe how quickly I got this different edge on it. It seems really soft but with the reputation INFI has....... I'll just have to wait and see. But so far I am liking the way it sharpens. IF it just holds up.

I really like the convex edge personally, I think thick knives are better with them.

I don´t think WD as a thick knife. It has a thick spine but it´s not a thick knife. It´s my favourite woods knife! Convex is for endurance. When the 911 is released I expect it to be convex for sharpnes after beating.
