Ok folks...I wanted to wait a bit before posting this up, to make sure I had time to test out the design and see it work for myself.

A while back, I contacted Jeff about a project I hoped he would help me realize. I called it the Concealed Carry Concept. I figure...it's done everyday with firearms...why hadn't I seen it with knives (at least within the local community). I wanted a sheath that would sit a few degrees back on the hip, height adjustable, and comfortable. My goal was to marry the comfort of leather with the versatility of kydex designs. I wanted something that I could attach Comp-Tac clips to, to make my shirt "tuckable" for work carry.

Jeff worked with me to get a design conjured up. First rev was pretty good, but we needed some tweaks and Jeff was extremely accommodating to work with me to make the sheaths "ideal". I've adjusted mine to ride about mid-height of the total knife length.

Who would've thought an SS4 would be a good conceal carry blade? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

Jeff made me Conceal Carry Concepts for my SS4, my Scrapivore, and my SAR3 (I have since sold the SAR3 & sheath, as its not seeing any use).

I LOVE THEM!! I use the Scrapivore sheath when I'm running, and riding my bike. It's like they aren't even there. Here's the SS4 & Scrapivore:

SS4 hooked into my belt (don't mind the gut...[censored] whiskey, I hate you!):

SS4 riding behind a loose t-shirt:

And, SS4 riding behind a tucked in t-[censored] (all you can see is the clip!):

Needless to say, a BIG thanks should be given to Jeff (RainWalker)...as he was able to make this design a reality. For those of you with Mud Puppy's...this would be a great sheath. Oh, and the 411 / 311's are coming!!!

Sincerely,

Max

I like it. I carried IWB for years. I still do occasionally.

That's a fantastic idea and a fantastic realization of the idea!

They look good and the kydex clip was a great idea. I had the same idea awhile back for my yard keeper and since I carry a firearm I thought I may as well carry a knife iwb. Here it is with my two main carry weapons.

And I'm guessing Jeff should expect quite a few orders one this style with ScrapYards release of #411... I'll take one in OD green!
