I went up to my favorite AO yesterday & had a blast playing with some "tools" of various sizes.
I did some chopping,hawk throwing,fuzz stick making,fire making,shroom hunting & pic taking.
A good time was had fershur.
The "tools".

Fuzz sticks..such as they are.
Even the big blades can do it.

My 2nd,3rd,4th & 5th matchless fires.It's sure getting easier.

I used the prybar end of the Vore to strike the rod for this one, worked great!

Hawk throwing,I actually got 'em to stick a few times, but the spike hawk would only stick head first.

Then I did some chopping with the stripped B11 & unstripped DF.
The B11 did much better this time, but still got stuck a few times. It may be time for a convex.
40 wacks for the B11 & 44 for the DF.

Then I looked for some morrelies.
I was too late to the dance,I only found a couple.

I then headed up to the high camp for some mountain views.
On the way up this tree was blocking the road.
No problem,I whipped out the DF & took care of it post haste.
Actually it took 268 chopps by my roommates count.
Yeah I had to take a couple of breaks, but the DF came, saw & kicked butt.

OK now for the views....

Man that is gorgeous contry. I'm green with envy. We are in the middle of a horrible drought here in East Texas so it's strange to see "Green Stuff". That DogFather is a sweet looking pup man,I really like it. We are possibly going to get some rain Wednesday. I am prayin! Thank you for the great pics!

Awesome. Your first pic reminds my of some primitive warrior preparing for war.

Which do you prefer more the b11 or the df?

How did the WD work out?

Looks like a good time for sure. I am envious of your weather, was over 105 here today, no fun outside.

If I had to choose just one,it'd be the DF,it's a hell of a chopper & SR77 is a great steel.
And the WD,wow the WD is sweet. It feels great in hand & the wide spine is a great rest for the thumb.
I didn't do anything with it that needed choking up so the small choil wasn't an issue.
Hopefully we'll see a CG version in SR77 at a much better price to performance ratio.(CHEAPER)

Great, great photos...man, I would rather be heading to this mountains now instead of heading for work!

That forged hawk is very cool. Keep seeing them on BF and feeling the temptation...

Enjoyed the pictures Myke. Much greener than all of ours that's burning up in AZ.
