JJ was working on it but then he got busy at his real job (lousy government bosses, don't they know he's got more important things to do than MARINE stuff)! Then He's rotated back to the states and hasn't gotten set up yet.

Oh and slingshots can be dangerous to glass! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

I wonder how you'd know, Skunk? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

As for printing the cookbook, just create a PDF and set up a cafepress.com account, they can print it for you and ship it to your address.

<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> very good idea.

As for my slingshot I have had many over the years but always seem to miss place them. Right now I have a Copperhead folding sling. So far no complaints. I do need a new set of rubbers.

I really like that the rubber loops through, instead of slipping on. I bet the rubber lasts alot longer.

I have the cougar model, I would get the jungle hunter if I get another. The cougar is a little heavy. If you like wood sling shots look up A+ sling shots light and powerful.

When I was old enough to go Bush Whacking one of the first things I learn't was that the best tree to get your 'mik' (aiming device) from is a Guava tree. The wood is incredibly hard and only gets harder once dried. The best part about the Guava tree is that the 'miks' are perfect... Here's a few pics of how the tree grows...

Catapults (Katties) are a part of the culture here, ever little boy has one. We learn to shoot them early and in most every house there wil be one hanging on a hook somewhere... They are such a part of our culture that you can buy them at Flea Markets... lol. The indigenous African tribes are also known to make great use of them when hunting/foraging...

The black securing rubber is a cars innertube cut into strips.

I've had mine for years... Of course as you get older and your hands get bigger it's sometimes needed to upgrade to a bigger (mik)... lol. My elastic is tired and will need to be replaced soon enough.

If while shooting you find that your aim is off to the left or right then it's a simple case of loosening the string a bit and moving your elastic up or down until you are 'spot-on'... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

The 'vellie' is the tongue of an old shoe... lol.

And then of course we have the ammo... lol. The lugs from the holes stamped out of steel plate from a buddies Engineering Works... lol. Deadly to say the least... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

Of course you can go to the local Gun Smith and purchase the manufactured ones... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
