I just saw Flogging Molly in concert and now I REALLY want to see DM's. I forgot to mention Rush and Dream Theater...How can any drummer not like them.

Most of the time I am Rock/Metal head here. Straight ahead rock like Black Label Society, AC/DC, Alice in Chains. I also like 80s metal (yeah, I know) and some viking metal like Old Bathory, TYR, Amon Amarth, Falkenbach.

Other times I like more mellow stuff like ambient, celtic and Chant/mood music. Wardruna is very good to chill to. The Chieftains are good. Pretty much all over the place and depends on my mood. Really the only thing I can't abide is Rap.

DRI! NO ONE I know these days has a clue who they are! I got my nose broke in a pit during one of their shows!

Not so much into that scene these days. Mostly, it's upbeat-ish stuff--Toby Mac, Superchick, Newsboys, Sanctus Reel etc. I love Billy Holliday. I'll tolerate Adele. Occasionally I'll get the urge for some early Fugazi, Jawbox, Beastie Boys or Public Enemy. Will throw on Creed from time to time. Also dig a Taiwanese chick band called "Cherry Boom." Bare Naked Ladies are also good for a play (and yes, I mean the band :P )

Back in the day, I used to rock out to Sick Of It All, Jane's Addiction, Black Sabbath, Napalm Death, Cathedral, Dead Kennedies, Dead Milkmen, DRI, the occasional Metallica, House of Pain, Black Flag, Rollins Band, RHCP, Minor Threat, and all sorts of local hardcore from Rochester NY or Buffalo (Hunger Artist, Pressure Head, Powerline, Big Hair, Kablooie, etc., etc.). Also enjoyed the Doors and the Grateful Dead.

I enjoy vocal and choral music--MOTAB, Tallis Scholars, and the like. I actually used to sing opera (professionally for two seasons no less ). I also sang and played bass in an alternative music band (Headcheese) and played bass in a jazz band, pit orchestra for musicals, and a classical music orchestra.

So, any of you dogs beat that for eclectic?

awesome, alot more Dogs listen to Metal than I expected!

I'm a metalhead, but my tastes are more modern, and European Metal/Black Metal/Death Metal makes up the majority of the hard stuff I listen to.

I've recently been getting into the Technical Metal Genre, Bands like Necrophagist, Meshuggah, Gorod (one of my favorites, the dissonant/harmonious quality of each guitar relative to the other is amazing!), and a prog-Metal band called Tesseract. Having learned guitar, I find I appreciate music in a different manner than I did before I learned an instrument. I noticed a lot of the bands I used to think were amazing and super technical actually kinda.... weren't . I'll listen to pretty much anything, but if it doesn't really hook me, it ends up on my zune and I never listen to it (Blind Gaurdian *cough*). The more technical the better, is my rule of thumb. If it takes some serious talent to play it, I respect that. I don't mean to disrespect the thousands of artists out there, but I wade through a lot of crap before I find something I like.

I'm definitely not limited in my tastes though, I have alot of Reggae and SKA in my collection, and DJ-Tiesto figures prominently into my techo/trance listening. I even have some Katy Perry, makes for great workout music!

This is me too. I especially like older country music, but I'll listen to pretty much anything except rap. Not particularly fond of metal, but every once in a while it isn't too bad.

Whats crazy is I see kids whith shirts of old hardcore bands all the time. I saw a kid with an Excel shirt at Ralph's Super market today and to some Slayer is "classic rock" What the heck!?
When hardcore was starting all the kids just had white shrts and went to work with their sharpies and make their own designs...now they pick up Suicidal merch at Hot Topic!

Well my daughter were at the Dropick Murphys concert last Sunday.
I listen to all sorts of music, but mostly it is metal and old punk
Funny thing is my favorite artist is Alice Cooper. and has been for about 35 years.
I mostly listen to the misfits, iron maiden, megadeth, manowar, judas priest etc.
Some of the newer stuff i like is 3 inches of blood, unleash the archers, edguy.
