Dogs

I have recieved several emails about the War Dog being back up on the web site for purchase...a complete surprise to me. Let me be clear...I do not have any of these to sell.

We have a new person helping on the web site and he must have turned it on by mistake. I will speak to him this morning.

Any orders that were placed since this error took place will be canceled.

I apologize for any inconvenience

Dan

It's a relief that this is settled. I was wondering, and obsessively thinking about purchasing another one. Thanks for the headsup Big Dog. I'm guessing that means something new is coming soon being that the new guy was in there mucking around with the order page

As much as I love the War Dog, I'm ready to spend most of my hard earned cash on some new steel. Plus I can't help but feel cool that my first SY purchase was an awesome knife from a very limited run.

Well, it was a lot of excitement and speculation over a holiday weekend. I thought it was legit but to those that figured it was a mistake, You were right, good call.

I'm glad I got 2 when they were up.

Now, Bring on the new stuff!!

Nooooooooooooo!

I saw that show up when checking the site while on vacation overseas and was hoping I would get back in time to order one before they sold out. I guess it must say something that I not only incurred roaming internet charges to check the store while on vacation but that I was that concerned about trying to buy one.

I'm kind of relieved that it was a mistake. As the days pass waiting for the next release I was getting more and more tempted to buy another War Dog. If I did that I may have had a hard time coming up with the funds for the next release.

My buddy sold his tan that had a small tear, and ordered a new black, to match the new sheath on the way,....I smell trouble.

I got all excited and ordered one, hoping to finally get my first Scrapyard knife. Too good to be true...

Any suggestions for actually getting in on one of the order for new knives?

Ivan

Hi Ivan. When Dan announced the War Dog, he specifically said that only a few would be available. They lasted in the store for a few days, which was longer than I expected.

After Blade (the biggest knife manufacturer's trade show in the U.S.), I saw posts that War Dogs had re-appeared in the Scrap Yard store -- there was speculation that perhaps Jerry had released some more INFI steel to Scrap Yard, but it turned out to have been a mistake. They don't happen often here, but nobody's perfect. I'm a bit surprised that it took so long for anyone in the shop to notice, but we'll have to call that a very rare double error.

Anyway, it looks like you're new here, so don't get discouraged. It's too bad that you missed out on a War Dog, but this miscommunication is not at all normal -- you shouldn't have any problem getting in on the next release if you just keep checking back to see when it's announced by Dan.
