I had a Mud Puppy LE once upon a time and ended up trading it for something I wanted more at the time (and then traded that too). When I had it my younger brother fell in love with it.
He loved the handle and the blade design as well as the small overall package.
I decided that I should find one for him for his birthday in Sept. I did but it's a CG. The LE's are selling a little higher than I'd like to pay and I got an AWESOME deal on the CG. Black handle on sage. I think he'll love it and I also have an AL Welke pancake coming for it.
Now, what does this have to do with the title?
I'm curious to know if any of you that own either of these have stripped it?
I want to know what the 154 CM looks like underneath.
Is it nice and smooth? Roughed up?
If you got pics they'll speak a thousand words to me.
Thanks for the help in advance.

The cg mud puppies are flat ground, so they should be very clean under the coating

The Muk that I stripped was quite clean. It did has some grind marks in it. But if you know your way around a DA sander or the like I think you could polish it up no problem. Spine might have a little more work to do.

Strip it, and do some sanding if need be. Otherwise use and enjoy.

Was wondering the same thing Steeley's post has inspired me. I may strip my muk since I'm thinking it will see more kitchen duty
