Alright, I admit it. I broke down and bought a Ranger Rd-9 that was made from a Busse blank (there's the bussekin tie in Klink <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> ). Looks a lot like a Mistress. But that's unimportant to the post right now. My primary question deals with the Busse blank that is made of 5160 steel. Can anyone speak to what exactly Busse's 5160 steel was? I understand that Justin bought the lot of 700 that Jerry offered up years ago, but that's all I know. Was it given the Busse heat treat? Was this ever used on any bussekin offerings? Inquiring minds want to know. Gracias!
