I would love to see a busse kin straight razor also. I know I have used my GW to shave a stray hair here and there in the rearview mirror.

I don't know if any of the Busse/kin steels are up to the task? Maybe with the right heat treat.

Wouldn't it have to be super hard so it doesn't dull easily?

Traditionally straight razors are made of carbon steel. Carbon steel is easier to sharpen and keep sharp.

I would buy a SY razor.

Dan had the Scrapivore LE at 62 to 64 rc. I think that would be plenty hard enough and it's carbon steel as well. I would buy a Scrap Yard straight razor.

I have a feeling that the SV LE is about as close as your gunna get to a SR. I don't really have a use for one myself, but if Dan makes one, I'll figure out a use.

I used to use a straight razor to shave with. Best shaving I ever got. But over the years I'm not sure it I trust my eyesight and hands now. Oh and IF you use a straight razor, DON'T SNEEZE!

SR-101 aka 52100 ball bearing steel is often used in straight razors because it shaves smooth and gets uber Sharp. INFI would probably work well too.

That would mean that I would loose the beard....................just not ready to do that. Cool idea though.
