I have, for some time, wanted the Scrapper6. But that not being made any more, it is not possible. How do you think the slightly bigger 711 will do as an alternative?
I know that I will get one or two 711, once it is released. But will it be able to erase my wanting the Scrapper6?

You can never erase the scrapper 6 from your mind. The basic 6 from busse up now is as close as you will get in my opinion and it is infi and the price proves that. The 611 size wise will work but the handle is different and the 711 will just be longer but will do just fine.

I had the same issue with the Swamp Rat Camp Tramp... I thought that the SOD would take the want for a CT away... but it didn't... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> Until I finally got a CT of my very own... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> Although I certainly didn't really need it, I still really wanted it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'm sure for most, the upcoming new Scrappers will fill the need and want, but for the die hard fanatics... well you know... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/banghead.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/loopy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Having an S6 already certainly doesn't change my want for the new 11 series, but then again I'll admit that I'm a hopeless case... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I had an addiction to steel long before I started making sheaths for SYKCO knives. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

It certainly does help to justify the addiction though! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

I guess it is the 'brutish' look of the S6 that appeals to me. Kind of shouting to be used for hard work. The 711 has got some of the same look to it...

I will just have to find some other means of justifying getting those blades.

Yeah I've been trying to get my hands one. Always seem to miss them though. But the 711 looks like it'll be almost as beastly as the S6.

One can cross his fingers, that mayby one day it will be put into production again, if only for a short while... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crossfingers.gif" alt="" />

Dan pretty much nailed the price to performance motto with the S6 it seems. Maybe the 6.5 Regulator will be a close runner up. But like pitman I went up the Busse ladder and I don't hunk I Gould be any happier.

I still want a Scrapper 6 at some point but it looks very close to my JackHammer.
