Today is my wife Susan's birthday. I got her a fleece jacket and hiking boots from LL Bean. Her hiking vest should arrive tomorrow. I also got her a "pretty" little fixed blade. I thought about the Scrapivore, but she really prefers knives with handles. So the Buck Woodsman will do for now. She loves it. In the smaller blades I think the stainless 420HC will be fine for her uses. She is an avid hiker and outdoor person. Wishing I had kept the Busse Meaner Street now. But I sold it some time ago.

I also gave her an original US made Old Timer Trapper I had been saving.

But it was too hot to wear her jacket today. So we went out back and I showed her all the work I had done clearing trails yesterday. And we did some recon spying on the next door neighbor's new pool!

Of course, I carried something to whack things with. That's not a knife, THIS is a knife!

Now it's time for me to take her to dinner. Life is so much better with a partner.
