I would guess the Swamp 911 would be in that range ( 180 to 220)

I'll stick with my M9LE. That knife is near perfect for my purposes. Lighter and faster than the Bushwacker, easy carrying for hikes, and perfect for a mini-machete, which is what I mostly use a big knife for anyway. I hope the 911 is like the M9LE.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I like big knives...ok... I like small knives too. I just can't call anything less than 18" a machete. I even call that a small machete. My machetes are always 24". I can use less, they just don't work well in vines and brier patches. I have tried 28", its ok. Most are a little too flimsy. 24" latin style. That is my go to blade for machete, old collins are my favorite. But to each his own... Doc

I hope this isn't against the rules, so I thought everyone would like to know that Eric over on the rat chat said yesterday that their 911 would be coming soon. His words, I'll say it first <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/2weeks.gif" alt="" /> I'm thinking it will probably be around the 9/11 anniversary. Caz which thread is it in? I might just be too tired to find it?

By the way, the famous Marine Raider Bowies of WWII were actually Collins #18 machetes. They were issued to Army Air Corps pilots for survival. The Case and Western Bowies are the same pattern. So there are and have been many short machetes made. But for a lot of work, I like a Tramontina 22" machete. I have an old 24" Collins.
Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

I'm going to try a Rodent 9, but would have rather seen the SYKCO 911. Once I have both, may sell the one I like least. Then again maybe not.
