Hey men. Been a while.

Panicking consumers have apparently flooded and stripped all the stores in NJ. I wouldn't know first hand since I'm a "creepy maniac" who's always ready for an inconvenience.

Anyway, I'll probably let the storm pass over me while I strum my guitars or get some exercise in my home gym, perfectly at peace knowing I always have 50 gallons of good water and two closets of dry and canned goods. Then there are all my toys...I mean tools.

Truthfully, I'm not worried about much more than a short power outage.

Hope the rest of the dogs are keepin safe.

Not too worried here. Shelves are pretty bare as well. Time to hunker down

good to see you are doing okay Mag! noticed it had been a while since you posted.

wish I could say I was prepared but I'm far from it. hopefully will be able to grab a few things over the next week or so but even if, I'm still behind quite a bit. do have plenty of music gear though. i am planning to get a few things in order over the next week or so when the finds allow it.

hopefully a little but of panic (without tragedy) will get more people to realize they need to be more prepared for these type of events.

Stay safe!

It always amazes me after events like these how many people go out and buy generators. They don't worry about food and water and essentials like batteries, radio and medical supplies, we better get a generator so the fridge can stay powered along with lights.

Hey dog, I WANT a generator. Yeah, I've got plenty of nonperishables, batteries, and other supplies squirreled away, but every time our power goes out, I pray that ALL that venison in the freezer stays frozen until the power comes back on.

I have two generators but have never needed them yet. Extra 12 volt batteries and power inverters keep the lights on and provide for weather/situation updates on the television, and I keep several tanks of propane for heating and cooking. I truly believe in the Scout motto; "be prepared".

i actually have a project house i've been researching that uses mostly recycled materials and ultra efficient energy solutions. one of the backup power options i'm considering is a small generator, but i'm not really interested in one unless it's diesel or very small and cheap.

otherwise, it's all solar and propane.

Sounds interesting Mags. Does it already exist or is it going to be something you are gonna build? Enquirering minds want to know.
