...hey guys, trying to register on the rodent forum but as yet it has not been approved. My issue however is on the company site I am attempting to also register and it only allows US or Canada as a location. I am itching to fire in an order for a RMD but can't seem to get past step one. I have used the "contact us" function and e-mailed the "info@" address direct... I am not know as the sharpest tool in the box so I am wondering if there is something I am missing ...???

The site is currently down so it may not have been you, possibly it was site related.

Their site is down it seems quite often, I know my approval took a few days. You won't go wrong getting a rmd. It was my first swamp blade and it is a great handling one, good feel in the hands and one of the sharpest knives I have ever received from any shop. Except for one I got from Horn Dog

Andy, it may be one or two things as to why you haven't been able to get registered. One, as has been mentioned, the site has been down (dealing with problems). Two, sometimes Eric closes the registration for a while due to so many spammers (I can appreciate that!!!). Anyway, don't stop trying... you'll get there!
The Swamp is a good forum, and where I got my start with Bussekin knives.

Every time I check it says something like 'closed to new registrations"

The ratmandu is awesome, unfortunately mine's a little too pretty with the green blade and brown handle so I haven't been using it, I am embarrassed to admit

Maybe emailing Eric Isaacson will clear it up a bit, his email is listed in a lot of his posts over on bladeforums in the SRKW forum there.

I am now awaiting approval from Admin at the forum but still have heard nothing back from the e-mails I have sent about buying (take my money while I have it) the RMD..

Yep, from what Eric's been saying there will be more.

Should be a regular there for a while I think.

I hope so.... I have the 511 now... which leads me to truly believe I will like the RMD as much....and I mean...you just can't have too many knives...

You might even like it better! Depends on your needs/preferences, but...despite similar blade shape and length, the RMD has Micarta handle and full, exposed tang, as well as comfortable and very usable choil. Every time I pick one up, I think, this is a perfect knife. Don't give up the quest.
