I'm going for the sterile 511 in camo. I have never been impressed by the busse ganza offerings but only because they all look like collectors knives to me. Do not get me wrong they are great looking and will be awesome but they are to pretty for me to want to use.

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I'm just not as into this as I expected to be. I suppose that for one thing, the ganza is mostly customs, and they're not my focus. I feel like I should be all over the 511, but I already have over 30 DMs of various "flavors", and by comparison, the 511's mini-choil just doesn't look "right" to me -- I'm sure it works well, but it appears to throw the knife's balance off visually. I'll probably log into Bladeforums on the off-chance that my number comes up for one of the give-aways, but don't expect to compete.

I still plan to go to Knob Creek in about a month and a half, mainly to look for older models -- I might change my mind if I hold some of the new stuff, but the pictures from Blade aren't singing to me. Of the ones in tonight's 'ganza, the Rodent 9 appeals to me the most, but I'm confident they'll have those at KC; even though I'll have to pay tax there, it's worth it to see how well they fit my hand before deciding whether to buy. Even after tax, I could still come out ahead if they're a "show special".
