 Got my first SY knife!

It's a Scrapivore, I'm very happy with it <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />. Great size, blade shape, feels good in the hand. I was a tiny little bit gripy over some very minor edge damage on the front curve of the edge, but It's nothing a bit of charpening won't remedy. I also got the Mashed Cat kydex to go with it, which I like very much.
I was thinking about wrapping the handle with paracord and I was wondering, will it work well to put the knife in the sheath if the handle is covered in gutted paracord? The sheath is quite tight and partially covers the handle.

I thought someone said they had to cut the top of the sheath down some. By the way congats on a fine first of many scrap yard blades.

Hey Doc, I just check and you will have to modify the mashed cat sheath if you wrap the handle. You will notice the notch in the sheath that locks onto the knife handle when inserted, I just tried mine and it won't lock in. I ordered a taco style sheath from rainwalker creations, he posted one of them with the wrapped scrapivore inserted. Good luck.

I just started the wrap above the sheath on my Swamp Warden/Mashed Cat and works very well. Like a notch for your index finger.
