Now that I think about it, that Basic 10 may indeed cost a bit more than a BWM CG. It has a satin finished blade, and Busse charges extra for that. My BWM LE was nearly twice the price of the CG. Apparently the Basic 10 is a Limited Edition offering.

Might be tough to pass up this one, even though I have slowed down considerably on Busse buys.

[censored], the real question isn't about getting it, but choil or no choil?

I think the looks are better with choil but it is a little useless on such a big blade ...
On the other side, what use has the first inch on such a big blade.....

Monsterdog is right,... What to do? Choil or no choil ?

Actually I also like the looks of the Choil verison. But the no choil one will be more unique. Besides you can use the extra blade length to strike your fire steel and not mess up the working edge!

But what would happen if I accidentally forgot to send it back! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />
Oops I meant to say Elf Choil

I'd buy another one, and make a trail of fruit roll ups starting from your door leading up to my apartment.

Foiled! You're right, I can't afford that many fruit roll ups.

The no choil looks nice but I would go for the choil if I were getting one. After using my B11 the choil is definitely helpful when in use for finer tasks besides chopping.

Now, if you are not going to use it a lot or if you are putting up in a safe then I can see the draw of the no choil option.

Originally I was set in no choil, but now I'm reconsidering. Wish I had the funds to get one of each!

Got my attention. Not sure about choil vs no choil. I like the idea of a choil
if I need to choke up, just trying to determine if I would ever really choke up on the blade. But, based on what I've heard about these, it is an excellent chopper, and merits a purchase.

To choil or not to choil...that is the question

Best of luck on that decision <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
